12Organ Workshop: Heart & Small Intestine
with Lital Bernstein-Yardeni
2hr workshop
Summer is coming! As the seasons shift, so do our physical and emotional needs. Join us for this informative wellness workshop designed to help you achieve health and balance. Using holistic disciplines like Shiatsu (body work), movement, nutrition, and emotional assessments together with kabbalistic wisdom, students will explore internal organs based on the five elements of Chinese medicine. When we have a deeper understanding of how the seasons, climate, and environment impact our wellness, we are better able to make positive choices for our body, mind, and soul. The focus of this upcoming class will be the heart and small intestine, which are the dominant organs during the summer. According to Chinese medicine, the heart is the “emperor” or the “king” of all organs. The small intestine gives us the ability to differentiate between good and bad. Students will gain a basic understanding of how these organs connect to our overall wellness according to both Western and Eastern traditions.
We will also discover:
• how to balance and strengthen organs
• possible symptoms associated with each organ
• nutritional tips to “nurture” the heart
• meridian, Qi Gong, and energy channel exercises
• sound meditations to open the heart
• Shiatsu practice to target pressure points and reduce anxiety, irritability, stress, insomnia, and headaches (body work in partners)
• and much more!
Please join us as we take healing theory to wellness practice!
